Deuteronomy 31:12-13
Assemble the people, men, women, and children, and the stranger who is in your city, so that they may listen, learn to fear the LORD your God, and be careful to observe all the words of this law. And her children, who do not know her, will hear her and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as you live in the land where you are going, crossing the across the Jordan to possess her.
INTRODUCTION:
Society is constantly renewing itself, every day more babies come into this world, generations come and go, that is to say that society by itself reproduces itself in some way, the constant question is: how is a generation similar or distant from other? With this we understand that there is generation better than others. A great truth is that generations have their roots in the home, a well-formed home a well-formed generation, a poorly formed home a poorly formed generation.
This is precisely where the work of the church comes in. If a generation is poorly formed, it is the duty of the church to help form or direct it. If a generation is well formed, it is the duty of the church to help maintain a formed generation.
God can raise up a different generation. A remnant of men and women who have been marked with a vision. Like never before in the history of the gospel, it has manifested itself by taking control of children and young people; God can bring about the most glorious event ever seen.
A question arises in the middle of this comment. How willing to work for children are we?
We need a glorious awakening in the people of God for our children, children are waiting for us to go for them, and many times we are in the churches waiting for them and the different teams fighting for them inside the church, but who wants to go for them to the street? No one.
It is time for us to understand that working for our children is everyone's responsibility, it is time for you to get up and understand that God has placed in you his grace, power and gifts so that together we can take control of this generation.
It is time for changes, where God will begin to heal our children and young people, heal them from every wound that evil has marked and labeled us. Times of transformation, in which God breaks the old skin, and raises new skins to deposit the new wine.
PURPOSE: today I intend to show the need to rescue this unprotected and downcast generation, through men and women who are willing to work for this childhood that walks marked and blinded by evil.
1. IN THE MIDDLE OF AN EVIL GENERATION NOAH WAS ABLE TO KEEP HIS FAMILY FREE OF CONTAMINATION. Genesis 7:1 Then the LORD said to Noah, Enter the ark, you and all your household; because I have seen that you alone are righteous before me in this generation.
2. THE POWER OF GENERATIONAL TRANSITION. Judges 2:10 Also all that generation was gathered to their fathers; and another generation arose after them that did not know the LORD, nor the work that He had done for Israel.
3. THE WORD OF GOD DECLARES THAT THIS IS A CROOKED GENERATION. Philippians 2:14-16 Do all things without grumbling or arguing, that you may be blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may have reason to glory in the day of Christ, since I will not have run in vain nor will I have labored in vain.
4. THE GENERATIONS BELONG TO GOD, BUT MANY PREVENT IT. Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are like them."
5. THE JOB OF THE CHURCH IS TO INSTRUCT THE NEW GENERATION. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the right way, and even in his old age he will not forsake him.
6. THOSE WHO LET THEMSELVES BE INSTRUCTED WILL ALWAYS DO WELL. Deuteronomy 5:29 May their hearts be always ready to fear me and keep all my commandments, so that things may go well for them and their children!
7. THE INSTRUCTION FOR THE CHILDREN MUST BE ON THE ORDER OF THE DAY. Deuteronomy 6:7-9 and you shall repeat them to your children, and you shall speak of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you get up. 8 And you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as fronts between your eyes; 9 and you shall write them on the posts of your house, and on your gates.
